Overview

With IMPS you can send money instantly from your savings bank account using beneficiary mobile number along with a 7 digit MMID* (Mobile Money Identifier) number. To receive funds on your mobile phone you would also need to generate your MMID.

* MMID is a 7 digit random number issued by the bank upon registration. A remitter (customer who wants to send money) and beneficiary (customer who wants to receive money) need to have this MMID for doing an IMPS transfer

What details do I require to do an IMPS transfer?

  • Beneficiary's Mobile Number: The beneficiary's mobile number should be registered with his bank
  • MMID of the beneficiary customer

Indus Mobile Registration

You can follow any of the below mentioned options to register yourself for the IndusMobile service.

Register through App
Just download the app and register via

  • IndusNet Login and Password
    Customers registered for IndusNet, can directly use their Net Banking User ID and login password to get themselves authenticated for registering for Mobile Banking. Further, customers can retain their Net Banking User ID as their Mobile Banking User ID as well.
  • Using IndusInd Bank Debit Card (Card No., Pin, Expiry, CVV, DOB / PAN)
    Customers holding IndusInd debit card will be able to register for Mobile banking by authenticating their Debit Card credentials.
  • Using IndusInd Bank Credit Card (Card No., Expiry, CVV, DOB)
    Customers holding IndusInd credit card will be able to register for Mobile banking by authenticating their credit Card credentials.

Register through ATM

  • Visit our ATM and use the IndusMobile option to register and we will send you your User ID and Password in 2 working days.

Register through Branches

  • Visit our branch and place a service request for Mobile Banking registration and we will send you your User ID and Password in 2 working days.

Register through Contact Center

  • Call us and place a request for Mobile Banking registration and we will send you your.

How to Use

Using Indus Net
  • Login to IndusInd Bank Online Banking application(IndusNet)
  • Click on Funds Transfer
  • Click on IMPS Fund Transfer
  • Click on radio button Fund transfer to Mobile Number
  • Enter Beneficiary Mobile Number, MMID and Amount
  • Authenticate using transaction password or OTP
  • Your transaction will get complete and you will receive a success message
  • You will also receive an SMS informing you about the relevant status.
Using Indus Mobile
  • Login to IndusMobile
  • Press Brand icon (Zebu Bull icon) on the app and move to Payments Tab
  • Select Funds Transfer
  • Select type as One Time Payment
  • Select the “Transfer to” type as Other bank using MMID and Mobile Number
  • Enter relevant details ( Using MMID - beneficiary's 10 Digit Mobile Number, 7 Digit MMID and desired transfer amount
  • Get confirmation receipt of transaction along with Transaction Reference Number on SMS

FAQs

Do I need to register to send money through IMPS?

If you are a registered mobile banking customer or Net Banking customer of IndusInd Bank no more registrations are required.
To send money from IndusMobile application, please do the following:

  • Login to IndusMobile
  • Press Brand icon (Zebu Bull icon) on the app and move to Payments Tab
  • Select Funds Transfer
  • Select type as One Time Payment
  • Select the “Transfer to” type as Other bank using MMID and Mobile Number
  • Enter relevant details ( Using MMID - beneficiary's 10 Digit Mobile Number, 7 Digit MMID and desired transfer amount
  • Get confirmation receipt of transaction along with Transaction Reference Number on SMS
Is there any limit on the value of transactions when I am sending money using IMPS?

The existing limits of INR 200,000 per day using IndusMobile and on Net Banking the combined limits of NEFT/RTGS and IMPS is upto Rs.500,000

Is there any limit on the value of transactions when I am receiving money using IMPS?

No. There are no limits for receiving funds.

What if IMPS registered mobile is lost or misplaced? Will anyone who comes into possession of mobile be able to send money using IMPS in my account?

The security features of IndusMobile will apply in this case as well. For anybody to send money using IMPS, he needs to be registered Mobile Banking customer, have either the MPIN or know the secure swipe pattern and enter the OTP sent on your Registered Mobile Number.

When sending money, how do I come to know that my account is debited and the money has been credited in the beneficiary's account?

You will get a confirmation receipt on successful completion of the transaction on SMS.
