General Terms and Conditions for benefits on IndusInd Bank WorldMiles Credit Cards

  • The WorldMiles loyalty program (“Program”) is being made available by IndusInd Bank, to all customers holding a valid WorldMiles Credit Card (“Card”). The Program is managed by Loylty Rewards Management Private Limited (“Loylty Rewardz”). IndusInd Bank and Loylty Rewardz may, at their discretion, introduce other service providers (“Program Partners”) into the Program to provide offers/services/benefits to holders of the Card (“Cardholders”).
  • IndusInd Bank is making available the Program strictly on a ‘best efforts basis’. IndusInd Bank’s responsibility in this Programme is limited to (i) informing Cardholders about the Program (ii) enrolling interested Cardholders into the Program and (iii) calculation and transfer of SpendMiles (as defined hereunder). Save and except the activities described herein, IndusInd Bank shall not be liable or responsible for any other services or benefits associated with the Program.
  • Loylty Rewardz and Program Partners shall be solely responsible for all other services or benefits (save and except the services outlined in the preceding clause) under the Program.  In addition to the terms and conditions mentioned herein, this Program shall also be governed by the terms and conditions communicated by Loylty Rewardz and Program Partners. These terms and conditions are in addition to and not in abrogation of the Cardholder’s Agreement or such other terms & conditions that may be introduced from IndusInd Bank from time to time.
  • IndusInd Bank shall award 2 points for every Rs. 100 spent (“SpendMiles”) on the WorldMiles Platinum Card excluding transactions involving cash advances, EMI payments, Balance Transfer transactions, and fees such as joining fee, annual fee, add-on card fee, finance charges, or any other fee/ charges. In case of fraudulent use, theft or counterfeiting of the Card or in case of any claim, reversal and/or dispute arising from the use of the Card by the Cardholders, the relevant SpendMiles shall not be credited or transferred to Loylty Rewardz. If such SpendMiles have already been transferred, the same shall be deducted by Loylty Rewardz.
  • IndusInd Bank shall transfer the SpendMiles to Loylty Rewardz within 2 working days after monthly billing cycle date. Loylty Rewardz shall credit the SpendMiles to the Cardholders account maintained with Loylty Rewardz (“WorldMiles Account”).
  • In addition to SpendMiles, the Cardholder shall be awarded points on all air tickets (“FlightMiles”) and hotel bookings, car rentals, holiday packages, etc (“PartnerMiles”) booked through www.myworldmiles.com (“WorldMiles Website”). Credit of FlightMiles and PartnerMiles shall be governed by the terms and conditions of the Program as communicated by Loylty Rewardz and/or Program Partners. The total of SpendMiles, FlightMiles and PartnerMiles (“WorldMiles”) shall be available in the WorldMiles Account for redemption against flight tickets on the Worldmiles Website.
  • The transfer of SpendMiles by IndusInd Bank shall be subject to due payment of the outstanding on the Card. In case of default in payment, IndusInd Bank and/or Loylty Rewardz (upon instructions from IndusInd Bank) shall be entitled to debit the proportionate SpendMiles from the WorldMiles Account.
  • Cardholders can earn a maximum of 90,000 SpendMiles in 12 months. The Cardholder will not earn any SpendMiles for subsequent expenditure on the Cards. After the completion of 12 months, the Cardholder can again start earning SpendMiles.
  • IndusInd Bank reserves the right to change the rate of accrual of SpendMiles and conversion of SpendMiles to the WorldMiles account at any time without prior notice. However, this change will be restricted to incremental SpendMiles and there will be no impact on already converted SpendMiles.
  • All services/activities relating to the FlightMiles and/or PartnerMiles including calculation or transfer of the FlightMiles and/or PartnerMiles is the sole responsibility of Loylty Rewardz. IndusInd Bank is not liable or responsible for the same in any manner whatsoever and does not underwrite or warrant any of the services provided by Loylty Rewardz and/or Program Partners in this regard.
  • For domestic flights, the FlightMiles earned through the WorldMiles program will be based on the percentage of the full fare (base fare excluding surcharge & other taxes) that you pay for travel between any two cities and the Ticketed-point-mileage (“TPM”) between the two cities. The full fare between any two destinations shall be subject to review every calendar quarter.
  • For international travel, the WorldMiles program has divided the globe into 23 different zones with major cities set as benchmarks in each zone for calculation of TPM. Every flight between these cities has been assigned a specific number of WorldMiles accruable on the full fare for the flight. The WorldMiles you earn will depend upon the fare you pay compared to the full fare between the cities in each zone. The full fare between any two destinations shall be subject to review every calendar quarter.
  • PartnerMiles shall be awarded to the Cardholders by the program partners as specified on www.myworldmiles.com. IndusInd Bank is not responsible or liable for any delay in credit of such miles to the Cardholder’s account.
  • WorldMiles are valid for a period of 24 months from the end of the calendar month in which the WorldMiles are credited to the Cardholder’s account.
  • WorldMiles may be redeemed only after accrual of 10,000 WorldMiles with a minimum of 3 activities on the Card. The activities could constitute any one of the following:  a) 3 Months card usage OR b) 3 Airline Ticket/Hotel bookings the Card on the WorldMiles website.
  • Once the request for redemption is placed, no cancellation or modification of the reward ticket is possible. There is no refund for re-issuance of partially used tickets. The redemption requirements available on the WorldMiles Website are shall be subject to change.
  • The calculation of the FlightMiles between any two destinations is available WorldMiles Website.
  • In event of cancellation of the Card, the WorldMiles Account membership shall be terminated.
  • The Card features and terms and conditions may be amended or modified at any time at IndusInd Bank’s sole discretion.
  • IndusInd Bank may, at its sole discretion, refuse to renew or suspend or cancel or block the use of the  Card and may, in its sole discretion, at any time, terminate the Cardholder’s membership based on its internal criteria (which shall include, without limitation, returned cheque, suspected fraud, out of pattern spend, etc.). The termination of the Cardholder’s membership shall automatically terminate all benefits and privileges attached to the Card, including the add-on Card.
  • Any disputes regarding delivery, service, quality or performance of products/services under the Program must be addressed in writing by the Cardholder directly to Loylty Rewardz.
  • Any participation / availing of the benefits by Cardholder shall be purely voluntary.
  • IndusInd Bank does not underwrite or warrant the services performed by either Loylty Rewardz or any Program Partners and shall not have any liability for any defect, deficiency, delay or imperfection in such services/benefits or for any loss or damage that may be suffered, or for any personal injury to a Cardholder directly or indirectly by use or non-use of the services provided under this Program.
  • These terms and conditions are in addition to and no in abrogation of the terms and conditions governing the issuance and usage of IndusInd Bank credit cards and the terms and conditions of the WorldMiles programme.
  • The specific terms & conditions of various offers under the Program are set out below.

Priority Pass

  • IndusInd Bank offers complimentary Standard Membership of Priority Pass with the IndusInd Bank WorldMiles Credit Card.
  • To avail of the Priority Pass card, Cardholder shall need to place a request with IndusInd Bank customer care.
  • To avail the standard membership of the Priority Pass programme, the Cardholder needs to call the 24x7 Phone Banking number on 1860 500 5004#.
  • The Priority Pass card will be delivered to the Cardholder at the registered mailing address. To get access to a Priority Pass lounge, the Cardholder will need to have the Priority Pass card.
  • A lounge usage fee upto $27 per person per visit as mentioned in the terms & conditions of Priority Pass shall be applicable and will be billed on the Card within 3 months subsequent to the usage. For any disputes regarding the billing of this lounge usage fee, the Cardholder needs to contact Priority Pass directly.

Travel Plus

  • The benefits under the Travel Plus program (“Program”) are offered by IndusInd Bank , or business associates of IndusInd Bank on a best efforts basis.
  • Under this Program the following benefits are provided to IndusInd Bank  WorldMiles credit cardholders (“Cardholders”) on specific terms and conditions listed here under:
    o Travel insurance
    o Access to airport lounges
  • The Program is offered by IndusInd Bank at an annual fee of Rs. 3,000.
  • Cardholders must exercise due diligence in understanding specific terms that may be applicable to benefits under the Program.
  • IndusInd Bank does not underwrite or warrant the benefits provided under the Program and shall not have any liability for any defect, deficiency, delay, unavailability or imperfection in such services or for any loss or damage that may be suffered by a Cardholder directly or indirectly by use or non use of any of the services under the Program.
  • Any disputes regarding delivery, service, quality or performance of products/services under the Program must be addressed in writing by the Cardholder directly to the business associates providing services under the Program. Any participation / availing of the benefits under the Program by Cardholder shall be purely voluntary on payment of fees as stipulated above.
  • IndusInd Bank and its business associates reserve the right to change the terms and conditions of the Program at any time with prior notice through any channel of communication at the discretion of IndusInd Bank.
  • These terms & conditions shall be read in conjunction with IndusInd Bank’s terms & conditions governing the usage of the credit card.

The specific terms & conditions of the Program are set out below:

Travel Insurance

  • IndusInd Bank has tied up with ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited  (“Insurance Company”) as a group manager to provide Cardholders with the following insurance cover under the Program:

  • The above insurance cover shall be governed by terms and conditions of the applicable policy of the Insurance Company.You may obtain a copy of the insurance policy from the Insurance Company or IndusInd Bank upon request. Salient features of the insurance cover are outlined here in below:
    (i) Medical Insurance while traveling internationally - The amount of compensation payable by Insurance Company shall not exceed the sum insured as specified above, in the event the Cardholder incurs medical costs due to illnesses or accidents, including outpatient & inpatient medical expenses, medical aid, therapies and diagnostic test when traveling abroad. The Insurance Company shall also include costs for medical evacuation to India. 
    (ii) Loss of checked-in Baggage - In the event of loss of property whilst in the custody of an international airline, a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) must be obtained from the international airline immediately upon discovering the loss which must be submitted to the Insurance Company. No partial loss or damage shall be compensated by the Insurance Company. No claim will be paid for valuable items as defined in the insurance policy. 
    (iii) Delay of checked-in baggage - Compensation for a sum not exceeding the sum insured as specified above, for the expenses incurred for emergency purchase of basic essential items in the event that the Cardholder suffers a delay of baggage of more than 12 hours from the scheduled arrival time at the destination for delivery of baggage that has been checked by an international airline for an international flight. A non-delivery certificate must be obtained immediately from the international airline which must be submitted to the Insurance Company in the event of a claim hereunder.  
    (iv) Loss of passport and ticket - Compensation for a sum not exceeding the sum insured as specified above for loss  of or damage to passport and travel related documents due to or on account of confiscation or detention by customs, police or other authority.
    (v) Missed connection - Compensation of a sum not exceeding the sum insured as specified above, in the event the Cardholder misses or fails to take a connecting domestic or international flight of an international airline due to the delay in arrival of another international flight, in which the insured Cardholder is traveling, beyond 6 hours of the scheduled arrival time.
  • The above mentioned travel insurance benefits are valid for a period of 20 days of international travel. IndusInd Bank must be informed at least 48 hours prior to commencement of international travel and within 48 hours after arrival in India to activate the above insurance benefits.

Access to Airport Lounges

  • Access to airport lounges on all domestic and international airports is available for Cardholders under the Program.
  • A usage charge of $27 is normally applicable each time a Cardholder visits any lounge, within or outside India. This charge shall be billed to Cardholder’s credit card account.
  • As a benefit of this Program, the usage charge of $27 is waived off for the Cardholder when the Cardholder visits any international lounges outside India.
  • Usage charges shall be waived for a maximum of 10 international visits per year.
  • Usage charges of $27 for visits to any lounge within India shall not be waived off.
  • Usage charges of $27 for visits of guests of Cardholders to any lounge within or outside India shall not be waived off.
  • The usage charges for lounge access are subject to change.

Concierge Service & Auto Assist

  • The Concierge Services & Auto Assist are brought to you by a third party concierge service provider as decided by IndusInd Bank (“Service Provider”).
  • Both IndusInd Bank and the Service Provider shall be acting under instructions through specified media from the Cardholder under good faith. All services would be rendered on a best efforts basis and shall be subject to the availability and existence of the third party providers to render the service.
  • IndusInd Bank & the Service Provider shall not be responsible for delays or failures to provide services caused by any strike, war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, armed hostilities (regardless of a formal declaration of war), civil war, rebellion, insurrection, terrorism, political coup, riot and civil commotion, administrative or political impediments, or radioactivity or any other event of force majeure or Act of God which prevents the Service Provider from rendering the services.
  • The services shall be available to the Cardholder only if the Cardholder’s credit card is in ‘live’ status and the transactions ordered by the Cardholders is within the available credit limit on the credit card.
  • The Cardholder agrees that transaction charges and cost of the goods ordered shall be debited from his Card account.
  • The transaction will be carried out by the service provider based on the instructions provided to them by the Cardholder.
  • IndusInd Bank does not underwrite or warrant the services of service providers/ goods of the vendors procured using the Signature Credit Card and shall not be responsible for any defect, deficiency, delay or imperfection in such goods/ services or for any loss or damage suffered or personal injury caused to the Cardholder directly or indirectly by the use or non-use of the goods/ services provided by the respective vendors / service providers.
  • IndusInd Bank reserves the right to modify wholly or in part the scope of the services being offered under this facility.

Fuel Surcharge Waiver*

  • Waiver* of 2.5% fuel surcharge is applicable only on domestic fuel transactions between Rs.400/- to Rs.4000/- only.
  • The waiver is applicable across all petrol pumps in India.
  • The waiver can be availed only when payment is made through the Card.
  • IndusInd Bank reserves the right to impose a cap on the maximum value or number of fuel transactions permitted in a month on the credit card.
  • Waiver shall not be applicable for service tax levied by the acquiring bank on the fuel surcharge.

* Please note that, service tax levied on fuel surcharge (if any) will not be waived and will need to be borne by the cardholders.

Visa Offers

  • The Visa Offers are brought to you by Visa International (“Visa”) on a best efforts basis.
  • IndusInd Bank & Visa shall not be responsible for, nor do they guarantee the quality of goods and services provided by any of the partner merchant establishments (“Partners”) in the Visa offers program, nor are they liable for any for any defect, deficiency, delay or imperfection in such goods/services or for any loss or damage that may be suffered, or for any personal injury to a cardholder directly or indirectly by use or non-use of the products/services provided by the Partners or by refusal by the Partners to honor the offer made under the Visa offers.
  • The Program is open for participation to all Cardholders, unless specified, who hold valid and current Visa Cards issued in India and who make a minimum purchase from the Partners using these cards during the period specified by Partner. Details pertaining to the minimum purchase and validity period of the offers are available in the individual offer details/ terms & conditions of the Partners.
  • Cardholders must exercise due diligence in understanding specific terms that may be applicable to such offers.
  • Any participation / availing of the benefits by Cardholders shall be purely voluntary.
  • Any disputes regarding delivery, service, quality or performance of Partners in the Program must be addressed in writing by the customer directly to such Partners.
  • All offers are subject to additional and separate terms & conditions of the Partners. Cardholders can also ascertain the applicable terms & conditions by corresponding directly with the Partners.
  • IndusInd Bank and Visa reserve the absolute right and discretion to withdraw the Program or any offer made there under by any Partner or alter any of the terms and conditions of the Program at any time without prior notice.
  • These terms & conditions shall be read in conjunction with IndusInd Bank’s terms & conditions governing the usage of the credit card including the Cardholders Agreement.
  • Cardholders must specifically request the Partner for the offers under the Program. Cardholders can also make transactions at Partner outlets without participating in the Program and availing the offers.
  • The offers made under the Program cannot be clubbed with any other offer/ scheme or promotion that any of the Partners may extend to its customers. Third party purchase/ bookings will not be entertained for any of the offers provided by the Partners.
  • Rates payable for goods & services purchased during the offer validity period are subject to service charges and applicable Government taxes.
  • Offers may be subject to other restriction by law.
  • Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Program shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore only.
