We are committed to protecting India’s biodiversity and to fostering conservation activities at our offices, branches and community. We have institutionalised a greening program called ‘Adopt-a-Plant’, and also partnered with local communities for tree-plantation activities that includes distribution of free saplings. Till date, 600 trees have been planted and over 1200 saplings have been distributed in 2013-2014.
We are also a regular contributor to the Satpuda Foundation which was established to highlight the biodiversity of the Central Indian Highlands, educate different sections of society about its importance, and to tackle threats to the area's forests and wildlife through well-coordinated, research-oriented conservation activities.
IndusInd Bank has been supporting this initiative by donating jeeps to the Centre that are extensively used for protection of natural resources, in and around wildlife habitats, and educating people that visit the nearby Melghat Tiger Reserve.
