Manish started shooting in 2016 upon his father’s insistence. His father is a businessman by profession - owner of an iron manufacturing factory. Both his siblings (able bodied) are into shooting as well; his younger brother, only eleven years old, has already made it to the Indian shooting squad.
He is ranked 13th in the world at the age of 16 which is a commendable effort; thus, he was shortlisted and eventually selected for support under the Para Champions Programme 2018-19.
