Shridhar met with an accident at the age of 12 while travelling with his grandad in an auto rickshaw, the drunk driver drove into the divider leading to Shridhar injuring his left arm, which caused the eventual amputation. He started swimming in 2012 at a corporation pool in his area near his house and has continued since then.
Shridhar won 5 Gold medals at the 2017 National Para Swimming Championships in Jaipur. With a total of 27 medals won at the National level, including 20 Gold, 5 Silver and 1 Bronze medal, he could be the swimmer to watch out for at international tournaments such as the Paralympics in 2020.
