Gesu Rahangdale

Gesu spent large portions of her childhood playing sports like kabaddi, kho-kho, athletics and wrestling. She began training in the mud wrestling pits of her village, before winning a Silver medal at the state-level in her first ever wrestling competition. Despite not winning a medal at the 2017 Junior Nationals in Patna, her talent was identified by IIS scouts. Having achieved success at the U-23 Nationals and the Inter University Games this year, Gesu is now working towards making the transition to the senior categories and performing well against her more accomplished compatriots.
