Himanshu Nandal

Himanshu Nandal, a dedicated swimmer and current student at Delhi University pursuing a degree in Political Science Honors, has found his passion in swimming. Aiming for excellence, Himanshu's journey in swimming began in 2021, fueled by the encouragement of his parents and friends who recognized his body posture and fitness, ideal for the sport. Before his dive into the world of swimming, Himanshu was involved in Judo. Despite his previous engagement in Judo, his heart resonated more strongly with swimming, compelling him to devote his focus entirely to enhance his skills in the pool. In the year 2023, Himanshu achieved an international classification, a significant milestone in his swimming career. But that was just the beginning. He also got selected to represent his country in the Asian Para Games, 2022 in the same year. Himanshu's family plays a pivotal role in his journey to success. Their unwavering support, especially from his parents and sister, is his pillar of strength. They make sure he has access to every facility, proper training, balanced diet, etc., which allows him to swim free-mindedly. Himanshu's father always stands by his side, taking on the role of an escort and caretaker. His father's unwavering presence provides the moral and logistical support Himanshu needs to perform at his best in every competition. With his family's backing, Himanshu knows that the journey ahead is one he would not face alone. It is a journey fueled by passion, dedication, and the unbreakable bonds of support and love. He was inducted into the Para Champions Programme in 2023
