Meet Thadani

Meet was born with a visual disability and is growing day by day. Since childhood Meet was brilliant in studies. Meet's younger brother teased him about not being good at sports one day, despite the fact that he excels in both studies and sports. This really spurred him to accomplish something in sports. So he decided to try athletics for 100m and got 2nd place in his first ever competition. This truly urged him to go further in the sport. Deep down, he knew that he was good at the sport. He just had to work hard to get better results. In search of a better training facility and professional training, he decided to join an academy after his 10th standard. Through the guidance of coaches and mentors, he started doing well in the sport. Because of his talent and hard work, he got selected for the Khelo India games. After doing well in the Khelo India games, Meet started training in the Sports Authority of India training centre in Gandhinagar. In the year 2020, COVID-19 came and everything was shut down, and he got an injury in the same year that took him 73 days to recover from. In 2021, he got another injury; despite it, Meet maintained the routine of his diet exercises and stayed positive in the tough times. He is back to his training and has started winning medals in various national and international events.
