Just tap into your Alexa App or log onto www.amazon.in, and enable the IndusAssist skill. After that, simply follow a few easy steps if you are an IndusInd Bank customer, or even if you aren't.

Steps to link your IndusInd bank account with your Alexa device:

  • Enter your registered mobile number and confirm it with an OTP
  • Pick the way you want to register and provide respective details
  • Choose between: Net Banking I Mobile Banking I Debit Card I Credit Card
  • Accept the Terms and Conditions
  • Set up a Voice Pin
  • Add and confirm default preferences like: Debit Account I Credit Card Account I UPI ID I Mobile Recharge Details I DTH Recharge Details

‘INDUSASSIST’ ACTIVATION

How do I activate ‘IndusAssist’ skill on Alexa device?
Download and install the ‘Amazon Alexa ‘app from Google Play Store / Apple App Store on your device and sign in using your Amazon Login credentials.

  • Open the menu option and click on ‘Skills’
  • Type ‘IndusAssist’ in the search bar. Click on the ‘IndusAssist’ tab to activate it.
  • Enter your phone number registered with IndusInd Bank and click on ‘Send OTP’
  • Enter your OTP received and click on ‘Continue’
  • Authenticate your credentials by ticking any one registration option (Net Banking/Mobile Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card). Input details as requested and click on ‘Submit’.
  • Please go through the T&Cs and click on ‘I Accept’.
  • Input your four digit voice PIN and click on ‘Set up’.    Note: Your voice PIN will be used as an authentication code to complete banking requests and transactions on Alexa. We recommend that you do not set your Voice PIN, the same as your ATM PIN for security reasons.
  • Select your preferred banking Account through which you intend to initiate your banking transactions. Your preferred Account could include details of your Debit Card, Credit Card,Prepaid Mobile and DTH recharge.
  • All your selected preferences will once again appear and you will be requested to provide confirmation by clicking on the ‘I Confirm’ button.
  • Once clicked, you will receive a display message stating that Your Account has been successfully linked - this signifies that you’re ready to use IndusAssist on your Amazon device.

What kind of banking transactions can be initiated using IndusAssist skill on Alexa?

How do I use IndusAssist skill on Alexa?

  • Wake up your Alexa device by saying “Alexa, open IndusAssist.”
  • From here-on you can continue to interact with the device by voicing the following commands provided below.



Note: When you intend to initiate a voice command, do remember to voice out the ‘Skill Name’ – IndusAssist. Before initiating any banking transaction, You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. You will need to voice out the OTP number and your four digit PIN. Please voice out the numbers as standalone numbers. These two authentication processes will enable you to complete any banking transaction (supported by IndusAssist) successfully.

How do I use ‘IndusAssist’ skill on a different Alexa device?
You can add a new Alexa Device to your existing Amazon Account using the steps below. If you have already enable IndusAssist skills on your Alexa App., your IndusInd Bank account gets automatically linked to your new Alexa device along with all its details.

  • Open Alexa App or login to Alexa portal
  • Click on ‘menu’ button on top left hand side.
  • Select ‘Alexa Devices’ option
  • Click on ‘Add Alexa device’ button to link new Alexa device to your Amazon Account

 

How do I disable the ‘IndusAssist’ skill?

  • Open the Alexa App
  • Click on IndusAssist skill
  • Select ‘Disable’ to delink your IndusInd bank account from Alexa device.

 

This will delink your IndusInd Bank Account from all Alexa devices linked to your Amazon Account.

 

Even though I have enabled IndusAssist skill on Alexa, I am getting error messages stating ‘Account not found’.What should I do?
In case IndusAssist skill is not able to fetch your account details, this can be corrected by disabling and re-enabling IndusAssist skills on your Alexa App.

Can I link/ view all my existing bank Accounts on Alexa and initiate banking transactions?
All Savings/Current Accounts where you’re an authorized signatory will be mapped and can be viewed on IndusAssist under a single registration. Banking transactions will be only be permitted in Accounts where mode of operation is “single”/ “either or survivor”.
In case your account is not getting mapped even though you are an authorised signatory, then for such cases, we request you to contact our helpdesk at 18602677777.

What kind of banking information under my IndusAssist skill gets featured/ captured on Alexa?

  • Savings/Current Account: Nominee Name, Branch Address, IFSC Code & Loyalty Points.
  • Term Deposits (FD/RD): Maturity Date, Nominee Name, Start Date, End Date, Tenure Period,Maturity Amount.
  • Credit Card: Total Credit limit, Total cash limit, Available Credit limit, Available cash limit,

 

Are there any limits set for doing banking transactions using Alexa?

  • Fund transfers up to maximum limit of Rs.50,000 per day.
  • Mobile/DTH recharge up to maximum limit of Rs.3,000 per transaction and Rs.15,000 Per day.
  • No transaction limits set for making IndusInd Bank credit card bill payment

 

Will I be charged for using banking services on Alexa?
No. There are no additional charges for using IndusInd bank skill-IndusAssist on Alexa.

In case of a failed banking transaction, how much time does it take to receive a reversal?
In case your banking transaction has failed and your account has been debited, your amount will get refunded to your source account within 2 working days. If you don't receive your refund within 2 working days, we request you to get in touch with our customer care team at 18602677777.

VOICE PIN

What is Voice PIN?
A Voice PIN is a 4 digit verification and authentication PIN that allows you to link up with the Alexa device and initiate banking transactions.

Is my Voice PIN my only password for doing banking transactions on Alexa?
No. In addition to your Voice PIN you will receive an OTP each time you intend to initiate a banking transaction via Alexa. Both these numbers form a two-fold authentication process to help you initiate transactions safely and securely. 
At various stages during your interaction with your Alexa device, you will be requested to Voice out this numbers. Remember to voice it out as ‘Standalone Numbers’. For e.g. If your Voice PIN is 1234. Then you will voice out ‘One Two Three Four’ instead of ‘One thousand two hundred and thirty four.

What should I do in case I have forgotten my voice PIN and I want to reset it?
In case you have forgotten your voice PIN, you can reset it by disabling and then re-enabling IndusAssist skill from your Alexa App. We recommend you change your voice PIN every 15 Days.

PRIVACY POLICY

Will the information I share with Alexa be stored on the Alexa device?
No. No information gets stored on your Alexa device.

Will my IndusAssist username and password be shared with Amazon?
No. We don’t share your confidential information with Amazon (or anyone else).

Can someone else access my information?
No. Your personal information cannot be accessed by anyone else without your permission. All financial transactions are authenticated safely and securely using a two-fold verification process
However, we do request you to take note of the points mentioned below

  • Disable and delink ‘IndusAssist’ skill from your Alexa device in case you are sharing your device with someone else.
  • Change your voice PIN after every 15 days.

I received an SMS/email saying I have successfully enabled the IndusAssist skill, but I didn't take this action. What should I do?
If you did not link your IndusInd Bank account to Alexa, please call us immediately on 18602677777. Also, please disable IndusAssist skill on your Alexa device from Amazon’s Alexa App.

What measures can I take to protect my information?

  • Disable and delink ‘IndusAssist’ skill from your Alexa device in case you are sharing your device with someone else.
  • Change your voice PIN after every 15 days.
