Ishroop Narang

Ishroop, a 16-year-old judoka from Punjab has won gold at the National Championship and bronze at the Asian Championship. She tried her hand at a lot of sports like Shotput, and Basketball to lose some weight but she decided on Judo and it worked for her. Her favourite judoka is Hifumi Abe from Japan. She came to IIS for better facilities and is training under Coach Mamuka Kizashvils and Coach Jiwan Sharma, after she was unable to get better practice sessions and coaches back home. IIS has helped her in improving with the structured training schedule, good food, and academic facility. Ishroop also believes scheduled recovery and strength & conditioning sessions have helped her improve her skills and tactics a lot. Her dream is to win Gold Medals at the Olympics.
