Jeeny Chanambam

Jeeny Chanabam got interested in judo after seeing her elder sister Linthoi Chanabam competing in the sport over the years & winning numerous accolades. Soon Jeeny joined a local academy in her village Mayang Imphal, Manipur. She is inspired by Japanese judoka Uta Abe. She was scouted by Head Coach Mamuka Kizashvils and Ast. Coach Chanu for the IIS Judo program. She feels IIS is helping her to change her style of fighting & improve her technique. She is the youngest athlete in the Judo program and has a lot of potential which can be honed at IIS
