Laishram Monalish Devi

Laishram Monalish Devi, inspired by her mother who was a former Judoka, Monalish started developing an interest in Judo at the age of eight. After over 3 years of training at IIS, this 15-year-old prodigy is already a 2x Sub-Junior National Champion. Coming from Uchiwa Awang Leikai, a small village in Manipur, Monalish feels happy being at IIS where she is training under Mamuka Kizashvils and Senior Coach Jiwan Sharma, who she looks up to. She secured 5th place in the cadet Asian championship in July 2022 after over a month-long recovery process that included an ice bath & rigorous physiotherapy for her ankle injury. She is a good prospect for India in Judo at the International level.
