Leishangthem Nungshithoi Chanu

Nungshithoi, inspired by her elder sister, also wanted to play Judo and win medals for the country. Lack of proper facilities and experience prevailed at the start but after being inducted into IIS under Coach Mamuka Kizashvils and Coach Jiwan Sharma, her technique and physicality have improved drastically. Gold medalist at the 2019 National Sub-Junior Championships, she clinched a silver medal at Junior Asian Championship this year, & feels good facilities at IIS like nutritious food, Strength & Conditioning at gym and recovery with Physiotherapy, hot water bath & swimming pool are major contributors to her success.
