Linthoi Chanambam

A young prodigy from Manipur who possesses great strength and power, Linthoi has already shown what she can do, with a gold medal at the Sub-junior National Championship. She also went to Japan for a 3-week training camp at Tsukuba University and to Georgia and learned from the best Judo coaches in the World. She is one of the most promising medal prospects for our country in the future and is expected to win several medals at the Cadet Asian and World levels shortly. She has already achieved the 2021 Bronze and Silver Medals at Cadet and Junior Asian Championship. She can be a Medalist at the Olympic Games Paris 2024. This year she was selected for Cadet Asian Championship in Bangkok, Thailand. Linthoi speaks Manipuri and English. She likes Dancing and cooking. Her father is a Farmer by profession and her mother is a housewife. She has desired to be an athlete since childhood and her parents motivated her to be the greatest. She recalls her first championship " It was good but I was a little bit nervous too". She faced many challenges when in 2020, she got a knee injury and almost got surgery but somehow managed to recover without it. She aims to be Olympics Champion in Judo one day
