Ngangbam Dipapati Devi

Dipapati started judo after seeing her brother playing the sport. Her inspiration in judo is Uta Abe from Japan, an Olympic gold medalist. She was selected by Head Coach Mamuka Kizashvils and Ast. Coach Chanu for the IIS Judo program in 2022. She feels IIS is helping her to change her style of fighting & improve her technique. Recovering from a shoulder injury, her recovery was smooth and fast at IIS with cold & hot therapy and intensive physiotherapy sessions. After clinching medals in various state-level competitions, Dipapati is eyeing her first National medal, which will take her one step closer to her Olympic dream.
