Ningthoujam Haripiyari Chanu

Haripiyari Chanu joined judo with her father's guidance to keep physically fit but soon found that she actually has the skills and potential to take up Judo professionally as a career. She was scouted by Mamuka Kizashvils and Senior Coach Jiwan Sharma, who also are her inspiration in Judo. At IIS, Haipiyari feels there is a good balance of Judo training, Strength development, recovery & nutrition. Apart from her training, she is able to slowly overcome difficulties faced due to the language barriers with the help of the Academic department's special classes. Getting an Olympic gold medal is her ultimate goal.
