- Girl Power - Sneha Chauhan
Sneha Chauhan from Uttarakhand is a junior and trains in the 57kg weight category. Her father is a Businessman and her mother is a Housewife. She recalls "I started judo in school. Our school PTI called us for a demo class and I liked the way they taught us the technique and throws so I continued with the game". Her motivation is Abe Uta from Japan. Her inspiration is Coach Jiwan Sharma who says "When I saw him he is always doing something he never stops till the work is done and a very hardworking person so it inspires me a lot that if he can do till now so why we can't do". She got selected at IIS through the khelo India scheme. She remembers the difficulties she faced when she got injured during her trials when she was not able to play in any competitions and was also not able to train for several months. She admires the facilities provided at IIS. She was selected for Cadet Asian Championship in Bangkok, Thailand and has also won a Silver medal in Khelo India Games. She wants to win medals for the country in a world championship, Asian championship and Olympic games. She likes to eat sweets And she is a collector of funky t-shirts. She speaks Hindi and English. Her hobby is listening to music and she likes to watch adventure and comedy movies.
