Yamini is an 8-time National Champion and one of the most promising senior Judokas at IIS, competing in the 57kg weight class. She started her journey in school, where she first came across the sport and really liked it. Yamini lives in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, her father is a LIC agent and her mother is a housewife. Yamakshi is her inspiration in the world of Judo. She aims to win an Olympic medal for India and to be a world champion. Yamini recalls her first championship "I participated in the state championship and I won gold so that was a great experience ". Yamini marked a return from a knee injury that kept her side-lined for a few months, by winning a bronze at the senior national championships in 2019. The IIS Physiotherapy department helped her to overcome the injury and she admires food, nutrition advice, sociological life, physiotherapy aspects of IIS. Her hobby is cooking and she likes to watch animated movies.
