Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) is an integrated bill payment system which will offer interoperable and accessible bill payment service to customers across geographies with certainty, reliability and safety of transactions.

The system will provide multiple payment modes and instant confirmation of payment.

What all bill payments can be done using BBPS?

To start with utility services such as electricity, water, gas, telephone, Recharges (Mobile, DTH), taxes and educational fee payments are available as options for various geographical locations. 

Payments for these services can be either done in a prepaid or postpaid model as per the acceptance of the respective merchant.
