This is to inform you that as per the Finance Bill, 2012 enacted on 28th May 2012, a Non Resident Indian (NRI) has to procure a certificate (Tax Residency Certificate) from the government of the Country / Tax Authorities where he/she is currently residing and furnish the same to the Bank to avail the Benefits of Lower taxation under the Double Taxation Avoidance agreement (DTAA). The same is applicable w.e.f.1st April 2012.
Further to the above, in absence of a Tax Residency Certificate all interest payments on NRO Savings & Deposit accounts will attract TDS@ 30% plus education cess plus surcharge (as applicable) w.e.f.1st April 2012.
We request you to email the scanned copy of the attached Declaration along with a self attested copy of the Tax Residency Certificate immediately to tdshelp@indusind.com. Simultaneously, please send the physical copies of the same to the below mentioned address within 30 days of emailing the documents:

Please Note:Ā TDS deductions on all NRO savings & deposit accounts will be @ 30.9% till the Declaration along with a self attested copy of the Tax Residency Certificate is received and updated by the bank in its records.
