A Selvaraj

Being a dwarf was challenging enough for him since his childhood. He had to face discrimination not only from his neighbours but also from his closed ones like his family members and friends. His close ones used to look at him from a different perspective, and his family was worried about his future because of his disability but Selveraj had different plans. He was eyeing for an opportunity where he wanted to prove himself and show his ability to the world. The opportunity came when he went to pursue his BBA from Alagappa University in Karaikudi. During the third year of his college, in the year 2015 he met Ms. Tamilmani ma’am who was the physical education teacher of the college. He believes that it was the turning point of his life because she inspired him to pursue sport and take up athletics very seriously. He started his training in the college campus and never looked back since then. Financial help from his maternal uncle and his authority helped him a lot. His biggest inspiration in his life's Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Quoting, “ It doesn’t matter who you are. It doesn’t matter who you are, if you have a vision and determination to achieve that vision, you will certainly do so. ”
